Vans Warped Tour announces new bands to lineup

On Wednesday, http://www.vanswarpedtour.com/ announced six new bands to this summer’s Warped Tour: Set Your Goals, Foxy Shazam, Abandon All ships, The Dance Party, I Set My Friends On Fire, and MC Lars. This is hardly the tip of the iceberg. Overall, the website has announced 27 confirmed bands so far of what usually is a lineup that consists of more than 100 total bands for the entire summer tour.
Created and debuted by Kevin Lyman, The Vans Warped Tour, has grown into what some say to be the hottest (some double meaning is implied) North American travelling music/extreme sports festival. The tour originally began as a punk rock showcase, but over the years has evolved into wide diversity in the lineup. Since December 8, 2010, Warped Tour has slowly begun announcing bands that have committed to Summer 2011's tour. According to vanswarpedtour.com, new bands will be announced each Wednesday until the headlining bands will be announced on March 26th.

The tour kicks off June 24 is Dallas, Texas and runs for 43 dates where the final stop is made August 14, 2011 in Hillsboro, Oregon.
